1. Information Collection & Your Rights
PIP collects personally identifiable information from the users of the Site only if you voluntarily provide it to us and you have the option not to provide any personally identifiable information to us. For example, we collect your name, email, telephone number and other information when you subscribe to receive news and offers or access interactive features such as our whitepapers, e-newsletter or our blog. If you request franchise information, we collect your name, address, telephone number, email and other information you may wish to share about yourself. If we have trouble processing a request, this contact information will be used by PIP to contact the user. You have the right to ask us to delete your information and the right to ask us to correct any inaccurate personal information, and we will use commercially reasonably efforts to correct the inaccurate personal information as directed by you. You have the right to request that we inform you of: (1) The categories of personal information it has collected about that consumer, (2) The categories of sources from which the personal information is collected, (3) The categories of third parties with whom the business shares personal information, (4) The specific pieces of personal information it has collected about that consumer. We are however not required to retain any personal information about a consumer collected for a single one-time transaction if, in the ordinary course of business, that information about the consumer is not retained or reidentify or otherwise link any data that, in the ordinary course of business, is not maintained in a manner that would be considered personal information.
2. Co-Branded Websites & YOUR RIGHTS
We may monitor traffic patterns on the Site and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use to analyze trends and administer the Site in order to improve its layout and design and to permit Site personalization and streamlining to create the best Site experience we can for our users. In order to perform analysis permitting such personalization and improvement of site design and user experience, we may employ suitable third parties with whom we share the information necessary to accomplish these objectives. 3. Your Consent & YOUR RIGHTS
We will not discriminate against you because you exercised any of your rights under the Acts, including but not limited to: (A) Denying goods or services to you, (B) Charging different prices or rates for goods or services, including through the use of discounts or other benefits or imposing penalties, (C) Providing a different level or quality of goods or services to you, (D) Suggesting that you will receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services.
4. Security Information & YOUR RIGHTS
Strong precautions are taken to protect the information of the users of our Site. When users submit sensitive information via the Site, that Information is protected both online and off-line. Only those of our employees who need the information to perform a specific function are granted access to personally identifiable information. Furthermore, our employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. 6. Surveys or Contests
From time-to-time we may request information from the users of the Site via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary, and the users of the Site have a choice whether or not to disclose this information. 7. Children’s On-Line Privacy
PIP recognizes the particular importance of protecting the privacy of children. 8. Special Offers, Account Updates & Opting Out
PIP occasionally sends our customers and the users of the Site announcements and updates, which contain important information about the Site and service offerings, which we believe to be of value to our users.
